- 33 years of experience in the tradable environmental and energy asset markets
- Pioneered first emissions trading programs for the US Environmental Protection Agency beginning in 1976
- Created the first emissions credit brokerage firm (AER*X) in the United States and the first emissions trading business at Enron Corp, and established emission brokerage offices and representatives in Moscow, Kiev, Hong Kong, London and Washington
- Consulted to the United State's Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), United Nations, World Bank, US Congress, Russian government, Ukrainian government, Canadian government, many US and international conglomerates and power and energy companies, trade associations
- Created four NGOs that focus on promoting emissions trading: in Russia, Ukraine, Germany and the United States
- B.S. in Economics, University of Maryland; M.S in Economics, University of Maryland
- 35 years of experience in dealing with environmental impacts in the energy sector, air permitting, energy efficiency and renewable energy projects in North America and around the world
- Consultant, since 1990, for the United Nations on environmental issues in China. Assisted Chinese government in developing air pollution reduction programs in Qingdao, Huhhot, Beijing, Guangzhou, Xi'an, Benxi and Guiyang
- Full-time Technical Advisor for the United Nations Division for Sustainable Development (2001-2005)
- Worked on multiple energy/environmental projects for the World Bank, US AID and Independent Power Producers
- Senior Faculty Fellow at the Wharton School and teaches at the Institut Français du Pétrole in Paris.
